Mr. M.A. Shahid and Mr. Saifuddin Khalid led the formation of the Qatar Cricket Association
Twelve major teams formed the Qatar Cricket Association under the presidency of Mr. M.A. Shahid, with Mr. Saifuddin Khalid as General Secretary.
The Cricket Council was formed under the umbrella of QCA with the objective to improve cricket to a national level and gain recognition from local sports authorities.
